Hike to the Y

All along the Wasatch front there are letters on the sides of the mountains, which indicate a high school/university below it. My kids love pointing them out as we drive up and down I-15. So, one day we decided we would take them on a hike up to the Y, above Provo. (That's all of us actually sitting on the famous Y.) It is less than a mile up, but oh boy is it steep!! The kids were troopers. Emily (who is usually the one with the best endurance) cried and wanted to give up, but with some motivational talks and lots of rest stops, she, as well as the rest of us, made it to the top! There is a great view, and we felt like we had accomplished something together.

Then we met up with the Given's for pizza at the Brick Oven. I so totally love their homemade rootbeer and pepperoni pizza. I would drive down there anyday for that combination! You've also got to love a resturant that has huge tables and an endless supply of high chairs. And the staff doesn't give you evil looks when you come in with 7 kids all under 8 years old. Living in Utah has it's advantages.
