Spring Family Photo

James' dad asked for a family picture for his birthday. He insisted that was all that he wanted. Easy, if you don't have a squirmy 2 year old! I picked up a frame and before we headed out the door for 9:30am church I had us all pose for a picture. It was hilarious having James set the timer on the camera and then run back to his seat! The kids were laughing so hard! We snapped off a few and hoped for the best.

Evening of the Arts

The annual arts night at school is not to be missed! Emily's grade sang songs about friendship and Curren's grade did a really cool African dance and singing number. The treats for sale were delicious. We saw lots of great works of art by all the students, visited with friends, and left grateful for a school that has an emphasis on arts education.

Emily, gymnast

Emily started gymnastics in February and has loved it! Her first meet was in April. It was just like a real meet where they did the beam, bars, vault, and floor exercises. She had fun participating. However, she had just moved up a level and wasn't sure about her floor routine and was upset. After a hug and pep talk she wiped away her tears and went on to do her best. For this, Coach Christy gave her a special award.

Easter

Easter was extra special this year: Nana and Papa were visiting, it was Conference weekend, and we hosted dinner at our house for the Breinholts, Brian's dad and brother, Matt and Mikel. They kids were so excited to see what the Easter bunny had put in their baskets and find all the eggs that he had hidden. We watched "church on tv" and that afternoon fixed a yummy ham dinner and enjoyed visiting with everyone. Judd brought more eggs so we had another egg hunt with cousins.

General Conference

Ken and Jearldene were here for Conference this year, and they came with tickets!! Curren and I went with them to the Saturday morning session. Since he recently turned 8 he was able to go. He was so excited that he even told his friends at school that he was going to see the prophet! (Nice that we live in Utah and most of the kids could appreciate his enthusiasm). James went to the Priesthood session that night with his dad and brother. I loved all the talks. So many of them focused on teaching young children and the importance of home and family. The conference issue of the Ensign came in the mail and I'm looking forward to reading the talks. This is a picture of Hunter taken during a session that we were watching on TV.

4

Hunter turned four and we celebrated by having Happy Meals at McDonald's (his favorite) and with a homemade Cars cake at home. Hunter loves Cars and Thomas trains. He and Porter spend hours playing with them at the train table in their bedroom. Hunter is a sweet boy who has a memory like no other. He remembers details from years ago! We love you, Hunt!
