Tennis

Curren has been playing tennis all spring and now Emily has joined him in lessons. They have been working hard and Curren has a pretty good backhand now. They have fun coaches and even participated in their first tournament on Saturday. Lots of kids from school were there, which makes it even better!

Emily's ballet concert

Emily has a passion for dance. She has loved ballet this year and has decided to go twice a week. Her skills have improved so much, as a result. Our little girl has become so graceful and is a beautiful ballerina. We loved watching her dance in two different numbers. One was very special because she had a big solo! She loves being on stage, especially if she has it all to herself. She was so sad when it was over and cried herself to sleep that night! She has an amazing teacher that made the show so fun for all the dancers.

Summer bbq

To celebrate the official beginning of summer, we invited lots of friends over for dinner and fun in the backyard. Everyone brought a dish to share and food was delicious! We are thankful for good friends to share warm summer evenings with.

Hunter's last soccer game

Due to several games cancelled due to rain/snow, we finally finished the spring soccer season today! Hunter's team, the Lightning Bolts, had a great season and learned some skills, as well. I coached with Molley and Tim and it was fun working with Hunter and his friends. The boys are so cute!

Last day of school

Curren had an amazing third grade teacher and Emily's second grade teacher was the best! We are so thankful for all their hard work and dedication to their students. Thanks for a great school year!

Our little ballerina

Emily has been taking ballet classes since she was 3 years old. Now that she is almost 8, we can tell that she has made lots of progress this year. She loves her teacher and the class is small so that the girls get lots of attention. Taking class twice a week gives her sore legs, but she looks forward to it! We are looking forward to seeing her in her recital in June.

Rain gutter Regatta

This year the Cub scouts participated in the Rain gutter Regatta. This was a fun project for James and Curren to work on together. James did lots of research online to find the best/fastest design and assigned Curren the sanding and painting. Curren's boat was by far the fastest. He was thrilled! The boys were all good sports and cheered each other on. After the races, the leaders filled the gutters with ice cream for all the boys to share. They loved it.

Easter is always cold in Utah, so the eggs were hidden inside and filled with chocolates of all types. Baskets were filled with things like crayons, colored pencils, sticker books, and mints. All these things are perfect for bringing to sacrament meeting! Thanks, Easter bunny!

Spring family photo

Since everyone was wearing their new Easter outfits, we decided to snap a quick picture of all of us before we headed out to church. The first one turned out the best! The kids are ages 9, 7, 5, and 3.

Blue blankie and Pooh Bear

Hunter sleeps with Pooh and his blue blanket. The blanket is from Nana Jearldene and he has had it since he was a newborn. When Hunter was a baby we went to Disneyland. There is a gift shop by Splash Mountain where Hunter fell in love with this Pooh bear. So, Papa bought it for him. He has been Hunter's buddy ever since. James also had a Pooh bear that he loved when he was little.

Puppy and Ni-night

We had to have a picture of Porter and his favorite things. Nana Jearldene gave him this blanket when he was a newborn. Puppy is a stuffed dog he adopted as his own from our stuffed animal collection. His head is floppy because he is so loved. Porter has to have them both to go to sleep with.
