To celebrate Hunter's birthday, we invited his friends to a party at Airborne. The kids spent over an hour jumping on the trampolines and into the foam pit. Then we ate pizza, opened presents, and had cake. Happy birthday, Hunter!

Look who's five years old! Wow! It's hard to believe he will be starting kindergarten this year. Hunter is a sweet boy who loves his big brother. In fact, his clothes and toys are in Porter's room, but he sleeps with Curren every night! He has just learned how to ride his bike without training wheels, still loves Cars the movie, is great at drawing, and is learning how to read. He has a tender heart and loves babies. I am coaching his soccer team, the Lightning Bolts, and he scored his first goal! We love you, Hunt!

Third Grade Hoedown
Oh what a fun night we had with Curren! The third graders have been learning to do the Virginia Reel, the Boot Scoot Boogie, and sing several American folk songs. It was so fun to see them perform. They were awesome! Curren's partner was a friend/neighbor, Grace. We also got to see the cities they created using milk cartons. There was also an art gallery of several projects they had completed.

Barnes & Nibbles

After driving through In-N-Out for hamburgers we stopped to browse the books at Barnes & Noble. The little boys played at the train table, Curren found books about money, and Emily looked at the Caldecott winners and the animal books. I flipped through People and Martha Stewart and helped the kids find things. I LOVE books and hope that my kids enjoy them as much as I do!

Gears, pulleys, wheels

Curren learned about lots of mechanical things at school and brought home an awesome little car made out of Oreos, graham crackers, and lasagna noodles. He and a friend were so excited about them that they made another one after school. It's fun to have boys around!

Preschool

At the beginning of the year I started a preschool that meets twice a week. It has been fun for me to teach again. I had forgotten how much I love it. It is so great to see the kids make progress. It's really incredible how quickly they learn new things. Hunter has loved having his friends over and they are going to be so ready for kindergarten next year!

Blue & Gold

Our second Cub Scout Blue & Gold dinner. Curren is a Bear this year and is having fun with his new leader, Sister Lignell. Scout leaders are amazing! I'm so grateful for all their hard work with the boys. After the dinner, the Dupaix's spoke. They raised 10 Eagle Scouts!! I would love to know their secrets!
